CPI report: May 2022

Consumer prices rose 8.6% in the 12 months through May 2022, up from 8.3% in April. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, ran 6.0%. The CPI-U index stood at 292.296, a 1.1% change from the prior month (not seasonally adjusted).
