CPI report: January 2022

Consumer prices rose 7.5% in the 12 months through January 2022, up from 7.0% in December. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, ran 6.0%. The CPI-U index stood at 281.148, a 0.8% change from the prior month (not seasonally adjusted).
